As is well documented, the legal profession is undergoing swift and irrevocable change, not just as a aresult of the Legal Services Act but in many other ways, such as the technology revolution, thye problems for small practices, cartels forming in the conveyancing market, large numbers of qualified lawyers being redundant and the thousands of paralegals in no man’s land in career terms. Our objecvtive with this website is not to discourage law students or those interested in a career in the law. Instaed, we wish to simply lay out the facts and encourage debate. Put simply, what is the way forward for the legal profession and are there too many lawyers ?
