studentatlaw.co.uk - LPC explained

The LPC is designed to be a preparation for working as a solicitor. As such, it is expected that a student will be able to 'hit the ground running'. The program is intense and expectations on the student are high. Those studying the LPC are expected to have a similar attitude and commitment as one would have in the workplace. At the same time, there is also plenty of opportunity for enjoyment, networking and relaxation, again, as there is in the workplace.

In keeping with the objectives of the LPC, a student should enter the LPC making efforts to remember the information in the same way one would at work, ie practice, so that it becomes implicit in one's job that one understands such information. The LPC is not an academic course where one's focus is solely the exam, the LPC is part of a practical training for the workplace.
